Drunk Basket

Drunk Basket is basketball played by characters who cannot reliably stand up. The players are active ragdolls, which means their limbs are simulated rather than animated, and every shot is the result of a wobbling body throwing a ball rather than a clean animation playing out. That sounds like a joke and partly it is, but it also makes the game genuinely unpredictable in a way a normal sports game is not. On top of that, each round introduces a random twist — low gravity is one of them — so the shot that worked last round is not the shot that works this round. Two players on one keyboard is where it belongs. Against the AI it is a decent time-waster; against a person on the same device it is the sort of thing people shout at.

Charge a shot by holding your key, and release to throw. Hold longer for more power. Baskets score, and the round's random modifier changes how much power you actually need, so the first throw of each round is really a measurement rather than an attempt. Play solo against the computer or hand the other half of the keyboard to someone else.

Spend the first throw of every round working out what the modifier did rather than trying to score with it. In low gravity the same charge sends the ball far over the hoop, and knowing that costs you one attempt instead of five. Release slightly earlier than feels right; the ragdoll keeps moving after you let go, and that extra motion adds to the throw. In two-player games, watch your opponent's charge time rather than the ball — you will read the modifier off their mistake before you make your own.
