About MarbleMaze

MarbleMaze is a rolling-ball course game with one idea that sets it apart: some of the holes are decoys. The exit is green and everything red kills you, but the board is also littered with openings that look like progress and are not. That turns what would be a pure dexterity game into something you have to read before you commit speed to it. Add spinning blades, walls that move on a cycle and toxic blobs, and the difficulty stops being about steering accuracy and becomes about timing — knowing when to wait for a gap rather than trying to thread one that is closing.

How to Play MarbleMaze

Roll the marble through each course, avoid everything red, and reach the green hole to finish. Coins are scattered along the way and power-ups chain together if you collect them in sequence, which is where the higher scores come from. Decoy holes will end the run as surely as the hazards will, so identifying the real exit before you build up speed is part of every level.

Controls

WASD or the arrow keys roll the marble, and holding Shift boosts. The boost is what most runs die to, so it is worth treating as a deliberate choice rather than something you hold down.

Tips and Tricks

Take the first pass of a new level slowly. You lose a few seconds and you learn where the decoys and the moving hazards are, which is cheaper than dying at the end of a good run. Boost on straights only — the marble carries momentum and steering under boost is much less precise than it feels. Against rotating blades, wait a full cycle and go immediately after one passes rather than trying to slip in behind it. And chase coins only when they are on your route; a detour for three coins that ends the run costs more than it pays.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I tell the real exit from a decoy?

The exit is green. Other openings are there specifically to be mistaken for it.

Should I use boost constantly?

No. Steering under boost is imprecise, and most runs end during a boost rather than because of a hazard.

Does it work on mobile?

It is designed around keyboard control on desktop, where the steering is most precise.
